EcoMemes Details
EcoMeme Edition sizes will generally be large and inexpensive, to spread the word and to avoid gas wars.
Ecocene will be reserving 10% of each edition to archive, to display, to donate or to sell in the future.
Pricing and Creator Earnings
In keeping with commitments under the Convention on Biodiversity to guarantee the protection of at least 30% of nature on our planet by 2030 (30x30) all EcoMemes will be released at a price of 0.033 Eth, with creator earnings for all secondary sales set at 3.3%.
Fun
Saving the environment is a serious topic, but we reckon it can be serious fun too. Or what’s the point? This is about making art and new frens and having a good time along the way.
Technical Details
The EcoMemes collection will be ERC-1155 editions. The collection is minted on a standalone Manifold contract and the JPGs are saved on Arweave. Tight.
Utility
There is no discord, there is no utility token, there is no governance coin. You should only buy the EcoMemes because you like them.
Westie
The spirit animal for the EcoMemes is Westie, a meme mutant based on the Western Ringtail Possum (Pseudocheirus occidentalis), a Critically Endangered arboreal, herbivorous marsupial endemic to south-west of Western Australia.
Western Ringtail Possums have disappeared from more than 80% of their pre-European range and their distribution and population size is continuing to decline.
6529
The EcoMemes are a lovingly crafted replica (read: shameless copy) of The Memes by 6529. Their mission is to accelerate the development of an open metaverse and get 100,000,000 people to use an NFT.
Our aim is for the EcoMemes to make a meaningful contribution to this goal. One of each EcoMeme edition will be gifted to the 6529 Museum.
Funds
All funds outside of artist royalties will go towards building, promoting and supporting Ecoengine and helping to make community owned nature positive economies a thing.
Artists
We’ll be making the first cards but our aim is for the bulk of the collection’s pieces to be collaborations with great artists. If you are an artist and are interested in a collaboration on an EcoMeme card, please fill out this form.
